Description: [0001] The present invention relates to a display mechanism of the number of the week intended to equip a timepiece.
[0002] The display mechanisms of the number of the week generally have an analog display of the number of the week comprising a graduation of weeks comprising fifty-two or fifty-three divisions cooperating with an index. These mechanisms are driven by the movement of the timepiece and can often also display the day of the week according to the Gregorian calendar (Monday, Tuesday ...). These mechanisms follow the ISO recommendations: Monday is the first day of the week and the weeks of the same year are numbered from 1 to 52, or even 53 in special cases. Thus, the incrementation of the number of the week is at the passage or around midnight Sunday to Monday.
[0003] However, there are countries or cultures in which Monday is not the first day of the week: Sunday is the first day of the week in the United States, Japan, Israel or Canada, while that the majority of Muslim countries start the week by Saturday, the Friday day of prayer being the last day of the week. In these cases, the number of the week should change either at the midnight shift from Sunday to Monday but at the midnight shift from Saturday to Sunday or from Friday to Saturday in the two examples above.
The object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for displaying the number of the week that offers the user the opportunity to choose or correct the day the week begins and adapt the display of the number of the week. the week accordingly.
To do this, the invention relates to a mechanism for displaying the number of the week for a timepiece comprising a mobile weeks capable of being driven a step once every seven days and resulting in a mobile device for displaying the number of the week in the year (for example, opposite a graduation or a counter), characterized in that the mechanism further comprises a mobile of the days capable of being driven by a step per day and causing a mobile device to display the number of the day in the week (for example, next to a graduation or a counter), this display member of the number of the day in the week comprising seven benchmarks, the motive of the days being arranged to advance the motive of the weeks of a step every seven days; and in that the mechanism further comprises a day number correction mechanism cooperating with the mobile of the days and operable by the user to correct the number of the day and to advance a step the mobile days for each actuation of the correction mechanism.
The present invention also relates to a timepiece equipped with such a mechanism.
The accompanying figures illustrate schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 illustrates the display of the number of the week and the number of the day according to one embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 2 illustrates a mechanism for displaying the number of the week according to the invention.
In the following number of the day in the week, we hear the rank or position of the day in the week is first, second, third ... seventh. This indication will preferably be given by corresponding numbers from 1 to 7, but another graduation is possible, for example Roman numerals.
In the following, the directions of rotation are given as an indication with reference to FIG. 2.
The mechanism for displaying the number of the week according to the invention is intended to equip a timepiece such as a wristwatch and includes a display of the number of the week comprising, in the form of execution illustrated, a scale 1 comprising fifty-two divisions and cooperating with a needle 2 concentric with the scale 1. Other forms of display of the number of the week are possible without departing from the scope of the invention. Also, alternatively, the graduation 1 could include fifty-three divisions.
The mechanism for displaying the number of the week according to the invention also comprises a display of the day number comprising in this embodiment a disc of the numbers of the day 3 bearing the numbers 1 to 7 and cooperating with a wicket 4 of the timepiece dial for displaying the number of the day. Other forms of display of the number of the day of the week are possible without departing from the scope of the invention. In the example of FIG. 1, the day indicated is the fourth day of week number 9. This day can refer to a Thursday according to ISO standards or a Wednesday or a Tuesday according to American or Muslim practices for example.
The display mechanism of the number of the week and the number of the day according to the invention is driven by the finishing gear of the movement of the timepiece. In particular, in the illustrated embodiment, from the roadway (not shown), a timer wheel 5 drives a first driving wheel 6 whose driving gear 7 is engaged with an intermediate wheel weeks 8. This intermediate wheel of weeks 8 meshes with a driving wheel of weeks 9. All is arranged so that the driving wheel weeks 9 performs one turn per day (counterclockwise in Fig 2).
A driving finger number of the day 10 is adapted to be fixed in rotation of said driving wheel weeks 9 as described below. In the illustrated embodiment, the driving finger 10 is freely mounted on the axis of the driving wheel 9 weeks and a pin 19 is fixed to the driving wheel weeks 9 and passes through a slot 20 of the drive finger Thus, the rotation of the driving wheel of weeks 9 is transmitted to the driving finger of the number of the day 10 when the pin 19 abuts against one end of the light 20.
The coach finger day number 10 is intended to advance a step per day a star of the day number 11 comprising seven teeth. Preferably, between two actuations, the appropriate angular positioning of this star of the day number 11 is guaranteed by a jumper not shown in the figures. The star of the day number 11 carries the day number 3 disc for displaying the day number in the week in the window 4.
A finger coach of the number of the week 12 is attached to the star of the number of the day 11 and is intended to advance a step every seven days a mobile weeks 13. In the illustrated embodiment the week 13 wheel comprises a twenty-six week wheel 15 and a fourteen week wheel that is engaged with a wheel of the week number 16. This wheel of the week number 16 carries the needle 2 which cooperates with the graduation 1 for displaying the number of the week. Preferably, the wheel weeks 15 is subjected to the action of a jumper (not shown) ensuring its angular positioning between two actuations. In addition, in this embodiment, the week 13 wheel and the week number wheel 16 are arranged so that one step of the wheel 15 weeks (1 / 26th of a turn) causes the wheel to rotate. the number of the week 16 and the needle 2 of a division of the graduation 1 (1 / 52nd of a turn) clockwise.
The mechanism and its components, in particular the digitizing finger of the number of the day 10 and the digitizing finger of the number of the week 12 are arranged so that the rotation of a step of the star of the number of the day 11 has place every day, typically at or around midnight, and for every seven days, the step of the star of the day number 11 causes the rotation of a week's wheel weeks 15 weeks mobile 13.
The disc of the numbers of the day 3 is positioned on the star of the number of the day 11 so that the actuation of the mobile weeks 13 by the finger coach of the number of the week 12 corresponds to the passage of the reference "7" at the "1" mark in box 4 to indicate the beginning of a new week.
The particularity of the invention lies in the fact that the user can choose and change for every day its number in the week. For example, while in the Gregorian calendar Monday is considered the first day of the week and therefore number 1, the user can correct this number and assign Monday the number 2 or number 3 according to whether he follows the American or Muslim tradition for example. If we consider the date of Friday, May 15, 2015, it is in the Gregorian calendar and according to the ISO standard of the day number 4 of the week 20 of the year 2015. Or according to the American or Muslim tradition, it s is respectively day 5 of week 20 or day 7 of week 20. By the way to Saturday, May 16, 2015, the number of the week should not change according to the ISO and American standard but should go from 20 to 21 according to the Muslim tradition since Saturday is the first day of the week.
To allow the user to determine and choose which is the first day of the week, the week number display mechanism according to the invention further comprises a correction mechanism.
The correction mechanism comprises a correction mechanism of the number of the day of week and a correction mechanism of the number of the week independent of the first.
The day number correction mechanism comprises a first correction flip-flop 17 pivoted at A on the plate or a bridge of the movement of the timepiece and subjected to the action of a non-illustrated return spring. This first correction flip-flop 17 is actuated at ΡΊ by a first pusher not shown and comprises at its end a first spout 18 intended to cooperate with the star of the day number 11 to advance one step (clockwise ) at each actuation of the first pusher.
Preferably, to avoid damaging the rest of the mechanism and the finishing gear of the movement of the timepiece, the number finger of the day number 10 is retractable thanks to its arrangement with respect to the driving wheel of the weeks 9 as described above. When correcting the day number, the star of the day number 11 is driven one step (clockwise) each time the first pusher is pressed. If during operation, a tooth of the star of the number of the day 11 comes into contact with the driving finger of the number of the day 10, the latter pivots counterclockwise without driving the driving wheel of the weeks 9 until that the pin 19 comes into abutment at the other end of the slot 20 (Figure 2).
The correction mechanism of the number of the week includes a second correction lever 21 pivoted at B on the plate or a bridge of the movement of the timepiece and subjected to the action of a non-illustrated return spring . This second correction flip-flop 21 is actuated at P2 by a second pusher not shown and comprises at its end a second spout 22 intended to cooperate with the wheel 15 weeks of the mobile 13 weeks to advance one step each actuation the second pusher.
Preferably, to avoid damaging the rest of the mechanism and the finishing gear of the movement of the timepiece, the finger drive the number of the week 12 and / or the toothing of the wheel weeks 15 of the The movable pin of weeks 13 is shaped so that said driving finger 12 is not in the path of the toothing of the weeks wheel when the star of the day number 11 is in one of its stable angular positions determined by its jumper. Thus, the wheel weeks 15 is still free when actuated by the second correction flip-flop 21 and in particular does not risk to actuate the finger coach of the number of the week 12 and the star number of the day 11.
This correction mechanism number of the day therefore allows the user to choose which is the first day of the week which then determines the display of the number of the week. The user can in particular choose a Sunday as the first day of the week.
As for the number correction mechanism of the week, it allows in particular to correct the number of the week in special cases where the year has fifty-three weeks. Since it is independent of the display of the day number, it also makes it possible to correct the number of the week when the activation of the day number correction mechanism has led to an incrementation of the number of the unwanted week.
The mechanism for displaying the number of the week described above is an example and other variants are possible. In particular, as already mentioned, the graduation 1 could include fifty-three benchmarks. The gear transmitting force from the finishing gear to the driving wheel weeks 9 could be different and these variants are within the reach of the skilled person.
The correction mechanism has been described by way of example, the skilled person will be able to consider other mechanisms for correcting the number of the day of the week and to independently correct the number of the day. the week.
Similarly, the finger drive the number of the week 10 integral in rotation of the driving wheel weeks 9 but retractable so that a correction of the day number does not cause said wheel could be arranged in any other appropriate manner . The same goes for the finger coach of the number of the week 12 and the mobile of the weeks 13 which are arranged everywhere appropriate way for a correction of the number of the week does not involve a rotation of the star of the number of the day 11.
This produces a mechanism for displaying the number of the week for a timepiece that has the distinction of being independent of the date mechanism that could include the timepiece, which offers the possibility to the user to choose at will when the week starts and so to choose when the number of the week is incremented.
